WHAT SKILL LEVEL AM I?

Level 1 – Beginner

Not ready for bike park pistes

Discovering new feelings of balance, speed and direction

Apprehensive of the bikes movements on different surfaces

No or little understanding of how to set up the bike and equipment

Level 2 – Amateur

Able to ride green and some blue pistes

Comfortable riding on flat or light angled rolling terrain

knows the different functions of the gears and brakes

Base knowledge of setting up the bike and equipment for general riding.

Finds it difficult to anticipate upcoming features

No to little experience on drops or jumps

Level 3 – Intermediate

Able to ride green blue and some red pistes.

Comfortable riding trails with small features, small drops, rollable jumps

Can get up rollable obstacles (30cm rock)

Knows the bike set up but may need help with more advanced set up

Level 4 – Advanced

The level enables the rider to ride all pistes (not including jump lines) of any technicality or steepness

Able to ride a large variety of freeride and single track

Works on improving efficiency, speed and fun

Knows how to set up a bike for different terrain

Level 5 – Expert

Able to ride all pistes

Able to ride some parts of bike park jump lines

Able to choose different techniques on very difficult trails

Able to use the chosen technique at the good timing

Has the ability to do downhill, trials and has a good climbing technique

Able to engage in difficult terrain for the best results
